In the Eschatological Anthropology session, we really want to encourage significant dialogue and engagement between panelists and attendees. So, we are making some changes compared to the usual panel session format.

  • The typical open Q&A period will be replaced by a guided discussion period in which panelists and attendees all engage together.
  • Attendees will be able to submit comments and questions during the paper presentations via social media to the moderator. The moderator will curate and synthesize these comments into a set of significant questions to guide the interactive live discussion.
  • Copies of the papers will be made available online (here, here, and here) in advance of the session for the sake of attendees who wish to come with questions and insights already prepared.
  • The presentations will be shorter than usual in order to ensure ample time for the discussion period.
  • Those who seek further engagement after the session will be able to do so in follow-up discussion here on the SVS forum.

We are looking forward to interacting with all who attend. Enjoy reading the draft papers, and come ready to engage in a rich and dynamic conversation about what it means to be human in light of our eschatological hope.
