Abstract:
This paper considers spiritual discernment in two practical applications in Vineyard churches, one in the Ministry Time and one in the utilization of Clearness Committees. Spiritual practices of discernment can be learned and implemented for the benefit of local churches and small group settings.
["Clearness Committees are gatherings of spiritual friends who engage in an exercise of group spiritual discernment for the purpose of assisting a focus person with gaining clarity about a matter of concern. Clearness differs from certainty. Clearness offers just enough clarity to move forward."]
