The five articulated and adopted “Vineyard Values” of The Theology and Practice of the
Kingdom of God, Experiencing God, Culturally Relevant Mission, Reconciling Community, and Compassionate Ministry build upon the essential value of “Experiencing God.” Without the core value of the personal experience of God, the other values are hollow shells of theory and practice. Nurturing educational practices of Vineyard Values relies on experiencing God in prayer, worship, and community. This paper is divided into three sections: a perspective of the local church as a director of prayer and prophetic ministries, a perspective of the academy as a student and an adjunct professor of spiritual formation, and a perspective of the Vineyard movement as a chaplain and spiritual director.

The full paper is attached to this post as a PDF.

You make a good point that the Vs stance on LGBT may differ from some CHs. May Jesus work through us as we help others.
