I am, as could be assumed, a very tactile and visual person, so as a christian, I process a lot of my faith through the aesthetics of the world around me. Part of my push towards a role as sacred artist was the need to join where I felt God had gifted me with the larger call to a life of faith. The other part of the push towards sacred art was the feeling that others might similarly benefit the overlap of art and their religious desires – this is hugely connected with my worship of God and life with God depending entirely upon a community of believers, so I make art in community and for community.

I think that art can function in many ways in the church (prophecy, instruction, evangelism). My personal focus is on the act of worship. This takes form in three ways...
